Group's visit top of the choc

Redbridge 18 Plus members at Cadbury World in Birmingham

Group members sampled the sweet delights of Birmingham following a visit to a chocolate factory.

Tasty treats were enjoyed in copious amounts at Cadbury World in Bournville, as members learnt about the historic chocolate brand.

The social group saw how chocolate was produced and walked through authentic 19th century tea and chocolate shops before visiting Britain's biggest Cadbury shop.

The second day of the group's fun filled weekend in the West Midlands started with a visit to Birmingham's Wonderful World of Planes and Trains museum where members saw "impressive" train sets and attempted to fly a plane on a flight simulator.

The group capped off their weekend with a boat tour of the city after a scenic walk along one of Birmingham's many canals.

Member Francesca Barclay said: "It was quite a treat to get lots of chocolate at Cadbury World. The boat ride and flying the plane in the simulator were also very enjoyable."

Redbridge 18 Plus members meet on most Fridays at 8.30pm at Goodmayes Community Centre in Green Lane, Goodmayes.
